Huffyuv+pcmaudio 2 clips = diff data formats?!?!

I save out 2 clips into huffyuv format exact same setting, BEST setting. Both pcm audio 44100 stereo. I try to join in vdub and it says dif dat formats. SO I try avisynth it says the same thing, dif data formats. So I .converttoyv12 in avisynth and they join fine. Why the hell is this happening? I'd rather not waste processing time inserrting .converttoyv12 on every edit I make.

(I make alot of hufyuv videos and join them for the final compress)

your source formats were different

make sure they are the same before encoding to huffyuv

describe your steps and source files (e.g. maybe you forgot fast recompress in vdub, and it's RGB now)

you can confirm this by using info() in avisynth on each of the huffyuv clips

Problem solved thanks to you! My intro template clip I always use was RGB32, and the new files I make were yuy2. I am compressing to xvid, so would it be faster to still converttoyv12, or should I just recompress new huffyuv templates in yuy2?
