  1. OK,

I've looked at heaps of topics in here .. DL'ed TMPGEnc and played with it and VirtualDub and AVI2VCD yadda yadda yadda.

I have 2 Avi files (DivX?) 699 and 698 Megs in size.

The Audio is compressed I understand .. so I got the tracks to wav format using VD. (no! .. not the STD!)

Got the avi Video to m1v and converted the Audio to mp2. How on EARTH do I get the result to VCD? .. tried TMPGEnc simple multiplex ends up 850megs. I tried to mpg to VCD same result .. I can't seem to get it to below 700megs .. HELP!!!! What am I doing wrong.

Oh yes when I tried to get the 850 meg file to VCD via Nero as a test .. Nero complained that the audio stream was of the wrong type .. sigh!!

The quality of the widescreen AVI file is astonishingly good (DL'ed from edonkey) but I can't seem to get it to VCD size .. please advise this 'noob' if you have the time.

    TIA!
