  1. Hello. I've searched this site and found where someone thought they had decoded the region code on the Sony SLV-D350P, but other responses state it didn't work. The last response was from 2009. Does anyone know how to decode this Sony model so that we can watch a movie we bought off of eBay from the United Kingdom? Thank you for all of your help.

Very few Sony players can be set to different regions or be unlocked to region free. And I didn't see anywhere that this unit could play PAL discs that are the format for the UK. Best bet is to watch the DVD on a computer or convert it to NTSC. (US standard) Or get a different brand of DVD player like a cheap Phillips that can be region unlocked and can play PAL discs on a NTSC system.

    And welcome to our forums.

My wife rented a foreign DVD (PAL) once and my Sony DVD player gave me the bird and wouldn't play it. I got mad and went to Best Buy and bought the cheapest Toshiba I could find, hooked it in, it buzzed for about 20 seconds, and we sat back and enjoyed the movie. Screw Sony.
