Awhile back, one of my old camcorders died. It was one that I used like a jib camera. I am in a wheelchair and so used it with a remote pan and tilt head and a lanc controller for zoom and start/stop. My backup camera is a Sony TRV 318 which has no lanc connector. While surfing the web for something with that connection, I saw this page ( http://www.mediacollege.com/equipment/sony/camera/ccd-tr/ccdtrv318.html ) which seems to indicate a remote available for my camera. I got the part number, RMT 708, and ordered one but the camera doesn't respond to it. Am I missing something here? Do I need to link them somehow?

" i don't see your cam on the list." Funniest thing, neither do I. I saw one of these cameras for sale on ebay w/ a remote listed as RMT 708. Did a search and found it for about $10 and ordered one. Not a huge investment. Oh well.... had to try.

seems that model has neither a lanc jack or remote control sensor built-in. from your manual.
