    I can't seem to get ffmpegx to recognize any input files (flv, mp4) - the window just says "Unrecognized". The binaries seem to be loaded correctly.

    I'm running OSX 10.6.7

    Any suggestions?

    While ffmpegX may not recognize every kind of movie file, it should recognize FLV and MP4 files. One possible reason for not recognizing files when it should, is if installation didn't go well. I don't recall other reasons right now.

    If you quit and re-launch ffmpegX, does it mention anything about missing or outdated binaries? Did you unzip the mplayer/mencoder download?
