Hello, I'm interested in the SONY HX9V (AVCHD).

The movie quality seems to be really good for such a small camera.
Of course you can't see the original (native) quality on YouTube but even there it seems quite good:

Which movie recording mode suits best for iMovie '11?
The HX9V is on the iMovie compatibility list, but how can this work?
I would like to record in 1080/60p. iMovie supports only 24/25/30 fps!
How will the import work? Will every second frame be lost?
How good will the final movie quality be after editing with iMovie?
I know from other material that it CAN be very good,
but I had no luck with an other AVCHD camera:

(Note: I know this was a PAL model.)
It seems iMovie needs progressive input format.
Thanks.
