  1. I have over 1,000 M4V files, personal cartoon collection for my kid, that I need to create preview images for. I do not have the time to go through, watch a few seconds of each file, then name it with the title of the cartoon...that would take months. Instead, I have decided just to make the preview images so that we can look at those, and know what file to watch. I know that Media Player Classic can do one screen-shot creation file for a single video, but is there a batch function? I need a program that can go through all 1,000 of these and create preview images without me having to babysit the computer.

    Thanks

  2. Bummer, that did not work...

    "0 Done, 1068 Fails"

I guess it cannot do .m4v format? They play fine in both Windows Media Player and VLC, and I really do not want to change it to "mp4" since m4v's show thumbnails in Windows Explorer. MP4 does not.

  3. Wow, I get "IND" errors with that one. It will not even open my file, originaly, then wehn I click OK past the errors, it begins playing the video file. Whatever. So, I tried to click the "make Screenshots" button, and it errors out, and the program crashes.

I can do it one by one just fine with Media Player Classic...(see below)

...Unfortunately, I do not have two weeks vacation to spend doing this one at a time. Thank you for the suggestions so far. The first one, Video Thumbnails Maker, has a GREAT interface, but just can't scan M4V files, and I know there is nothing wrong with these files
