I am converting VHS over to DVD. I am using an Elgato capture card in between my VCR and PC with Power Director program. when the burning process gets complete, this error message pops up. I am new to burning DVD,s and am lost. Can anyone help?

I guess it works fine to burn other stuff with another burning software? Then check if you can output as a dvd folder or iso with power director and then burn it with imgburn.

Just "burning stuff to a blank DVD" doesn't make it a DVD that is playable in a DVD player. Search for "DVD Authoring".

To Baldrick, I downloaded imageburn and tried to burn the MPEG file to disc but got nothing. It said it burned successful but when I went to play the video, nothing was there. It was blank. There are 6 choices to pick from.
1.write image file to disc. 2.write files/folder to disc. 3. create image file from disc. 4. create image file from files/folders. 5 verify disc. 6/ Discovery. Which would I choose?

Do you have a VIDEO_TS folder with VOBS, IFOs, and BUPs in it, along with a AUDIO_TS folder? Otherwise it's not a DVD. As hech54 said, it has to be 'authored' to that format. If you have done all that, then maybe a media or burner problem?
