  1. Hi ,
I am currently authoring VCD's with great success but was wondering about the long term. I eventually want to get a DVD burner when they come down in price, but until then I want to store the movies in the best format possible for later DVD authoring. What I do now is capture from my DV camera and edit in Premiere. I then save out in AVI format and convert to VCD format using TMPGenc. I was thinking I should also save to DVD format a second copy using TMPGenc.

Does anyone have any advice or a better Idea?

    Thanks

  2. Clearly your best option would be to just archive your whole premiere project including the raw captured video/audio.

This is what I do, but it sure does take a lot of CD's!!!

    N.B. I am somewhat paranoid :-)

  3. I don't have that many CD's!!! :D
I definitely want to go with a compressed option as my premiere projects average 10-20 gigs.

    Thanks for the idea
