Need to Rip US Restricted Video

Hi, all! This is my first post.

So there's a video from VH1.com I need to download but I can't even access it cuz it's restricted to US residents only (I'm currently living in Brazil).
I've tried changing my proxy settings but surprisingly it didn't work. I've already tried using lots of programs, websites, tried changing my IP, and lots of other methods. None worked.
I know the video is there. I have a friend in the US who said it works perfectly, but he doesn't know how to download streaming videos (I did try teaching him, but he didn't get it...).

Could anybody help me?

Is there any way I can download it myself? If not, then could anybody kindly download it and send it to me? I need it only for my collection of videos, if there's a way I can do it myself (so I don't need to bother anyone here), please let me know.

I know a lot about downloading streaming videos, but this one is tricky cuz I can't even load it because of the area restriction.

Two possibilities:

1) the vile b@st@rd$ have found a way to fool the free proxy servers

2) the vile b@st@rd$ are giving some money
to the maintainers of the free proxy servers

Yeah, the proxy thing doesn't seem to work at all. What can I do? I really want this video!

After googling for a while, I found out the MTV sites probably are using something called "timestamped URLs" which would explain why the stupid country-based restrictions cannot (¿yet?) be worked-around through the anonymizing servers.

So that's the reason why it's not working for me?! That's so stupid! Just because I'm in a different country, I cannot watch those videos?! I know what they'd say - it's a copyright thing. But to me, it's just a racist thing. ¬¬

So I guess I won't be able to rip it myself. Could anybody kindly download it and send it to me? Please, it's the only video from that concert that's missing in my collection! I'm actually begging you guys! haha Please!

Not true. All of my non-IE browsers are in English-US, and their default/preferred language is en-US as well, and those ****ing sites keep not caring about this "detail". :-\

VH1 site check. FACT. Others sites I dont know. In the past, www.hotmail.com checked too.

Yes. VH1 checks other things , I believe some states. Why??

For work, I had to use a proxy from California and Firefox US I tested with other states (Colorado, Minnesota and Illinois) and didn´t work.

Cauptain, your method worked really well and I was able to finally watch the video. BUT, I couldn't manage to download it. I tried using nearly all programs and plug-ins out there, but none of them seemed to detect the video (I guess it's because they're not compatible with Firefox US Portable).

So I decided to try what k. suggested - RTMPDump v2.1d AND - voilà! It worked PERFECTLY! I downloaded the full video and the quality was even better then the one I was watching on the VH1 site.

I spent hours trying to do it and now it's finally done! Thank you everyone here who tried to help me! Thank you, El Heggunte, k., hech54 and Cauptain.
