  1. Hi,
I used VirtualDub with the following settings to convert a VCD to Divx avi:

    Divx 4 Low Motion:
    Keyframe every 10 seconds
    Crispness - 100%
    Bitrate - 364

    MPEG Layer 3 for Audio:
    128kbps, 44khz, 16Kbps

After this when I check the output file, the sound is terribly out of sync. Its ok in the beginning but screws up around the 4th or 5th minute.

Please help me solve this problem. Thanks.

    Later,
    Martin

  2. Well I solved this problem. The Divx 5 bundle was the cause. I uninstalled it and it encodes in synch now.

But I have another problem. Whenever I encode I get a crackling noise in the divx avi that is created. Anyone knows how to fix that.

I know I can separate into wav and edit the wav. I mean can I do something so that the crackling noise isn't there in the first place.

    PLEASE HELP

    Thank you.
