Hello everyone I'm new to this so please be gentleI was loaned a vcd copy of Monsters Inc, So I tried to copy it Using Clone CD. It copied okay but when I played it on my DVD standalone Player. It kept stopping every so often then starting. Only for a few seconds at a time so I managed to watch the movie. But could anyone tell me how I could get over this problem for future recording. Many thanks in advance for your help. Tony

You should try to play the original on your dvd player too. Or / and check the compatibility list. Maybe the player have problems with VCD, CD-R or whatever. And do not copy "on the fly".

Sorry Truman, Just read what I wrote in reply. " It sound nasty" Not meant to be. Sorry.

"On the fly" is disk to disk copy without saving an image to HDD. This may cause errors.
Most DVD players play VCD, but some players do not play CD-R. This is not the same. -
Oh thanks I'll check this out with the list you attached. Many thanks Truman.

Are you sure you don't have an SVCD? I download a sample in SVCD format from this website, burnt it on a CD, and tested it in my player. It wouldn't play cleanly (kept starting and stopping like you described), and I found out later that my DVD player doesn't support SVCD. I think even XVCD can exhibit this behavior on some players if the bitrate is too high.
(Note: If the original video played correctly in your player then this isn't the problem.)
