Letīs say Iīve a DVD with audios A1, A2 and A3; and subtitles S1 and S2.
Audio and subtitle selections are made by using the remote control only.
A1 and S1 are set by default as the movie starts.
What I want:
1. Whenever the user selects A2 or A3, subtitles are automatically changed to S2.
2. Whenever the user selects A1, subtitles are automatically changed to S1.
3. If A1 is active, the user is not allowed to change or turn off the current subtitles (S1)
4. If A2 or A3 are active, the user may turn subtitle (S2) off, but heīs not allowed to select S1.
5. S1 must be "hidden" from user, not being shown as the DVD Player "display" button is pressed
and the info/status is displayed on screen. S1 must also not be selected in this way.
Can those requirements be performed in DVDRemake or PGCEdit ?
Thanks in advance.

Do you mean that the audio and subtitle tracks can only be changed on the fly (when the title is playing) using the player's audio and subtitle internal menus?
If it's the case, then there is no way to do what you want. With the player menus, you can only change what they are supposed to change: audio or subpic, but not both at the same time. And, of course, you cannot block the calls to the player's subtitle menu, or it will be impossible to change them.
In the other hand, it is possible to create a DVD menu to change the audio and the subtitle tracks at the same time. And you can prohibit the audio and subtitle on the fly changes with PUOs in the Title.
In the Audio menu, you should have 3 audio selection buttons: a button that selects A1 and S1 (at the same time), and two buttons to select A2 or A3 and then jump to a subtitle selection menu where the user will have to select S2 or no subtitles. You should also add a Play button and a Resume button in both menus to restart the movie or resume it. (If you prefer a single menu, you can also create 7 buttons: A1+S1, A2+S2, A2 without subtitles, A3+S2 and A3 without subtitle, plus of course the Play and Resume buttons.)
The commands to use are not difficult to explain, but you need to create the menu(s) with an authoring program. (Usually, I use DVD Lab to create simple menus leading to a dummy slide show with only one image, then I import the menu in PgcEdit, and I modify the commands to suit my needs. The free version of DVD Lab is sufficient, since you don't have to generate a long movie.)
Note that your current DVD should NOT have already a VTSM menu with video content or menu buttons, as we will need to replace it with your menu.
If you can manage to create the two menus, let me know, and I'll explain how to import them and modify them with PgcEdit.Last edited by r0lZ; 4th Apr 2011 at 04:03.
