  1. Is it possible to remux a DVD to MP4? At the moment I am using MakeMKV to convert my DVDs to convenient video files without losing quality. However MKV is not compatible with most of my devices. I have tried several tools to convert MKV to MP4, but have been completely unsuccessful (I think the AC3 audio gives the programs troubles). I don't want to compress the video or audio as I find it always introduces a perceptible audio/video desynchronization.

Thank you for your advice .

Try DVD to ISO using dvdfab then use handbrake to convert to mp4. You can even take your MKVs and load them into handbrake to convert to mp4.
