I have in the past been able to use the batch downloading feature for streamtransport. However it seems for awhile now it won't work.
    --------------

    I have version 2171

    ------------

I can download the 4 at a time that it lets you do simultaneously. However when I load up a list of say 10 or 15 more it will not start the next batch. It tries and then fails. I also can't resume it manually by clicking on the resume button.

This is a problem since I'd like to setup a batch download overnight. Without the task list working to start the next batch of 4 downloads I have to manually set them up. That makes it a lot more difficult.

Is this just common to some websites or has this been blocked somehow by websites? I can get the files just fine but only four at a time and I can't load them up and walk away for a background download.

    ----------------

Is there a way to copy and paste the url to add them to a download manager program somehow? I tried clicking on the line that shows the length of the video and I can't seem to access the url in that window (the line you use to click the download button and start the download.

    Thanks for your help.

Edit - I am going to check out xVideoServiceThief. It says it can do rtmpe websites. I'll see if it can do the sites I'm using and if it has a batch mode. I hate to not use streamtransport but the lack of a working batch mode is a big negative for me.

Sites can block multiple connections from same ip.

Does it happen for all sites?

    @baldrick - it appears to.

Would having multiple sessions of streamtransport do the trick?

Also I did check out xVideoServiceThief but I don't see how it can do the downloading the same way as streamtransport. It seems to require the actual url to do the downloading.

I am not sure how to copy the correct url in streamtransport to xvideoservicethief. I selected a video to download in streamtransport and then downloaded it. I opened the task window and copied the url that it showed in the text box. However when I copied and pasted it into xVideoServiceThief I didn't get anything. There was no video downloaded.

I looked into urlsnooper and rtmpdump but did not have a successful trial with either. Urlsnooper didn't seem to get a valid link but I could easily be doing it wrong. And frankly I'm not sure how to use rtmpdump. I'd be in need of a link for a guide on that.

Basically I'd like to gather all the urls I need for the set of videos I'm after and then load them into either xVideoServiceThief or possibly eve a regular old download manager if I get the "naked" url of the actual video itself.

    Thanks again.

    ----------------------------------

EDIT - Well at least on one site I was having issues at I CAN do at least two windows of streamtransport for simultaneous donwloading. So I can at least max out at 8 downloads - 4 per window. I don't know if I want to push it to another window or not. I'm not sure how that would affect speeds.

But at least now I can double my efforts. I still have to go back and manually set up the next batch of 8 but that is a lot better than manually doing every batch of just 4.

EDIT 2 - EUREKA! I have tried adding a 3rd window of streamtransport and IT WORKS! Now I am actually doing 12 simultaneous downloads!! The speeds seem to be about the same. How it does that I don't know. Now I'm moving much more efficiently.

It was so annoying having to load just 4 at a time. So inefficient. Now 12 at a time is even better!!!!!
