Hello to all - I'm a pro musician (get money for playing), and I'm working on producing 15-20 separate music videos and am now working on some video demos. The final projects will have older video (converted film) mixed with newly shot video. Though I know lots about different effects one can achieve with music, I know nothing about all the myriad effects possible with digital video and editing. Is there a book, something like "Professional Video Basics for Dummies" that is available? I'd be happy with a short article explaining some of the things (effects) possible. Right now my knowledge is limited to fades, split screens, slow and fast mo, dissolves, and that's it. Thanks in advance for any info.
