can someone recommend or point me in the right direction for taking a german tv show in mkf format, strip the audio and reattached an english audio stream ripped from the true dvds. might be tricky since they are tv rips and not actual dvd rips.
    thanks

Use mkvtoolnix to add/remove audio from mkvs and pgcdemux for dvds.

But you probably have to manually resync the audio.

  3. Yes but for mkvs mkvtoolnix will remux any audio into the mkv while mkvextractgui2 (needs to be in mkvtoolnix direcctory)will extract the audio from a mkv and pgcdemux only extracts audio, video, chapter, subtitles from dvd's, it doesn't remux them.

thanks guys. i was more worried about manually adding the new audio track. aftert thinking about it, it may be alot more work than i really want to do since the source is a tv rip i'll have to do alot of splicing of the audio.
