  1. I just taught myself how to use mirc and download movies! I've been trying to download them onto a vcd! I've used the TMPGE appz and I've tried to convert itusing PAL and NTSC! Nothing worked! I get a message telling me that it's some sort of video 2.0 cd and it asks if i want to con't! I click yes but the cd won't play on my dvd player! I'm i missing a key part in the encoding stage? Can someone please help me?

    Thanks ( In Advance)

  2. I'm a newbie here as well and went through the same process as you. My mistake was to use EZ CD Creator to create the CD.
I just used NERO and burned the CD as a VCD (as per the instructions here) and all worked fine.

  3. do you think you can tell me the way you did it? Was it from an Avi or did you convert it to Mpeg-1? Does the movie come up in full screen?

    Thank-you

  4. I converted the AVI to MPG using TMPGEnc using the VCD NTSC template. After generating the MPG, I burned the CD using NERO 5.5 using the VCD option.

I followed the instructions found here in the "Convert" section and the "Author" section and it worked perfectly.

  5. to make the s-vcd disks you need you use nero, the make svcd from the menue and put you video in the root i think.

Also if you got the vcd as a bin and cue files you can load the cue in nero and make the disk automatically.
