Need basic info on Simple profiles when capturing video with XviD codec

I am using Xmedia Recode to recode some .flv videos captured from Youtube. When using the software, it asks about the profile and level to encode it to XviD. I am clueless when it comes to Simple profiles. It lists MPEG4 Simple profiles from L0 to L6. It also lists advanced simple profiles from L0 to L5. It also lists profiles such as XviD Home, XviD mobile, XviD HD 720 and XviD HD 1080. I am just capturing to my Archos video player which accepts XviD and DivX files. Would i simply use the XviD mobile profile? Should i just try them all out to see which one looks the best?
