So I have a avi file with a .sub file as well. Normally I would convert the avi to mpeg using TMPEGnc plus and then use TMPEnc DVD author to make the dvd (video_ts and audo_ts folders).

This is the first time I have a .sub file I want to include. How can I do it ?

Use avstodvd or dvd flick. Load the video and the sub and it will create a dvd with switchable subtitles.
