The Makoto DVD players are supposed to be multi-region, but my machine only plays NTSC. All other region DVDs result in an "Error Wrong Region" message on the screen. I think Makoto is made by the same folks who made Malata DVD players. What do I do to get this to play all regions? Is there a way to make it both region free and Macro free?

I found out how to make this Makoto DVP-823 DVD player region free.
1.Press "Eject" to open DVD tray (keep the DVD tray open during setup)
2.Enter "Setup" button on the remote.
3.Use navigate key move to "Preference Page"
    4.Scroll down and highlight "Default"
5.While "Default" is highlighted, press remote button "8","3","4", and "3".
6.DVD Region setup menu pops up, you can now select your region code, or simly choose "Region 0" ("Region 0" is "All Region DVD" code which you can play all region DVD discs from world wide without change region code)
7.Press "Setup" button to finish the setup.

Hope this will help anyone in similar situation.
