    Hi another Newby here
I have Sony camcorder HDR8sr. love it.
I have Sony Vegas HD 10 Love it.
I have PMB Upgrade (HATE IT)

My render times on my OLD PC were too long so I bought a new computer 4 core AMD 8 gig ram, plenty of disc, 1 gig network.
That meant I had to upgrade everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    WIN7 for 64 bit
    PMB for 64 bit

Now My Camcorder has most of what I have recorded still on the disc, not a problem on the OLD PMB as it knew what had not been uploaded.
Yes I have taken DVD copies, but still NOT deleted them off the camcorder as I don't need to yet.

    So what is my problem.

The NEW 64 PMB for win 7 works well, apart from the load from the camcorder to the PC, the PMB software does not know what has already been uploaded and backed up.
So if I tell it to upload the latest files it trys to upload everything, which is a waste of time and effort.

Does any S/W Engineer or User know how to modify the New 64bit PMB S/W with the information on what fiiles have already been uploaded.

Right now I have to use Select the files to upload, which takes ages to upload all the thumbnails of all my file just so I can select the last 30 say.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. Did you try the Sony forum? I would think you might get a faster answer there. But do you really need Sony's PMB to transfer your files. Can't you just copy and paste? Or am I missing something here?

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes I did try the Sony Forum, NO REPLY AT ALL. Which was why I thought I would give this forum a try, at least you tried to help, Thanks.

I think my problem is maybe not many people have SONY PMB on 64bit Win7.

I suppose the simplest thing to do is take them all to DVD again and delete them on the camera but it seems such a simple thing to do from a software point of view, if they have a database of what has been uploaded it should be easy to modify it.

Simple things missed by the designers..

    Thanks again
