Those Logitech speakers have no digital inputs, and your BD player only has digital outputs, so you can't connect them to your BD player.

You would need a sound card that accepts digital 5.1 audio via S/PDIF input and converts it to analog for your speakers. Unfortunately, new sound cards can't do that. Technology licensing does not allow sound cards to perform the necessary digital to analog conversion anymore.

I was involved in a thread started by someone looking for a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro because he wanted a sound card with the following attributes:

1.) can *decode* DD and DTS
2.) has a TOSLink optical digital input that accepts DD/DTS 5.1, not just stereo PCM
3.) has a TOSLink optical digital input that works with the analog output, meaning it will convert the digital 5.1 sound to analog 5.1 output
    4.) has multi-channel analog output
    5.) has PCI slot

The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 series dates from 5-6 years ago, and is now discontinued. You must find a used one. You will need the sound card, a matching audigy drive, and some other accessories. It may be difficult to find everything.

However, I don't know enough to say for sure if it is really a solution for you, but maybe someone else does.

    Well, apparently that's the "norm".
Anyway, it's not exceedingly-difficult to find (or to build) P2-to-RCA adapters

This is an example of the kind of adapter El Heggunte is suggesting. They are very inexpensive.
