  1. I have about 30 audio files (MP3 each 25 minutes) that I want to put on a DVD so it can be played by a Set-top DVD Player. I could just burn it as a data DVD with all the MP3 files on it and the DVD Player can pick-up & play the MP3 files easily.

But I wanted to have a menu with buttons, and each button is to be linked to an audio file, so when it is finished with playing one audio file, it should return to the menu. Also, WHILE playing an audio file, a still picture should be shown on TV. These are kind of lecture series, where I do not have the video but I can put a still picture for each audio file (possibly the same picture for all).

I do not want to create a DVD-Audio standard disc. Since I want it with menu & buttons, I guess it is going to have to be DVD-Video standard.

I can do it as I normally do it for AVI -> DVD by putting a still picture in video track in Premiere and then use some DVD Authoring program to put everything together in a menu. I can encode it in CBR with Video bit rate the smallest and audio bit rate as much as possible.

Any thoughts??? Is there a better way???

    Thanks.

No. If you want menus etc for playback on a standalone DVD player then it has to be authored to DVD spec. You might look for an authoring tool that can automate the process. DVD Lab Pro has an option to create an audio only DVD Video disc. Maybe others do to.

If you convert your audio to AC3 (or wave) you can use GfD's Audio Titlesets
You choose an image file and it muxes that with the audio.

Thanks AlanHK for the excellent link. Glad to see GfD can do exactly what I wanted. I will try it out.
