    Hi There,

Newbie here so please excuse my lack of knowledge. I/My cricket club have just acquired a new hd Camera( panasonic hdc-sd600). We will be using it for technique video analysis but my problem doesn't solely lie with that. I would like to know the easiest way to share the avchd files on to disc preferably to issue both the players and other coaches a copy? I would ideally like to keep the the hi res format if I can but this isn't essential.

    Thanks for looking

    Josh

MultiAVCHD can produce HD AVCHD discs for burning to DVD that can be played in PS3s and some Bluray players. It can also produce BluRay output that is playable in some BluRay players when burned to BD blanks.

If you want the most widely playable format then you can also output DVD Video format, but it will be in standard definition format.

Your only other option is to burnt he files as data, but this will only be playable on computer witht he right codecs or player (MPCHD could also be included on the disc for Windows machines)

copy the camera files onto disc like any data file. they will be able to play them on their computer just like you do. if they are too big to fit then re-encode them to a smaller size with something like handbrake, xmedia recode, mediacoder, etc.

yes it's software. Click on the hotlink

If has the option for SD (on DVD) or HD (on DVD media or blu-ray media) . As described above, you need a player that supports HD to play HD

    Sorry aedipuss,

Itried that for a colleague but his pc wouldn't play the .MTS files Need it to be simple as unfortunately most of the recipients are even less tech savvy than me. Better if they can stick it in a dvd player and watch it on tele.

    Thanks
