Looking at settings for MPEG-2 creation within TMPGEnc, under the "Advanced" tab there are settings for the source material. There's 4:3 525 line, 4:3 525 line (NTSC, 704 x 480), another is 4:3 display.
What's the difference between these? What I have as a source file in this case is HUFFYuv video make from 4:3 DV. I went to HUFFYuv to do some processing on the file. Wondering where the 704 x 480 value comes from - I've always been under the impression that 4:3 DV is 720x480.
Thanks for all input.

4:3 525 line: the 720x480 frame size contains the 4:3 image
4:3 525 line (NTSC, 704x480): the center 704x480 pixels contain the 4:3 image
4:3 Display: regardless of the frame size, it's supposed to be viewed as 4:3
