Convert VOB files to Divx with DVD menu

I'm rather new to the topic and sorry if this basic question has been answered numerous times (I did a search in the forum but could not easily find an answer).

I'm looking for a freeware that would allow me to convert VOB files (the ones produced using DVDFab) into a single DivX while keeping the original DVD menus (which I think DivX supports but ...). Ideally this tools would also allow me to choose all the other parameters like bitrate, framerate, ...

If that is not possible using DivX, is there another format that I should consider ?

Yes, you can make a .divx with menus but you have to do everything manual. No automatic dvd to .divx with menu software.

Just make an .iso and play with vlc.
