  1. hey,

my Toshiba SDK330 dvd player wont play cd-r backups of my vcd's.

i looked in the compatibility list and it had cd-r crossed out.

but is there a way of making them play? a type of disc or something?

    your help will be appreciated

  2. Your DVD player can read CD-R, for MP3 play back, but can't read VCD, check the spec and if you don't see VCD then it can't read VCD ...

I have try to see spec of your player, but the toshiba new zeland site give crap information about your player

    Check your manuals

  5. Your DVD player probably wasn't designed to play CD-R or CD-RW media (many aren't). Try playing an audio CD on the same media. If it doesn't work, then you have a media compatibility issue.

You can experiment with different brands of CD-R to try to find one that works. Often CD-RW works better in these cases.
