  1. Has anyone seen this program: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm

It does both audio and video but most of the modules seem to be video based, so I post this question here. It is appealing because it offers an all in one solution for a lot of tasks. I am willing to try but if someone has already played with it, I would be interested in hearing what you have learned.

  2. the only thing I can tell you (and that is related to them as a company on the whole) is that their youtube downloader program is amazing. It worked the way it is supposed to, was able to get an entire users channel and no fuss or hassle. The only thing it may do is after you close the program you will get a pop up asking if you want to install their toolbar, just uncheck the box and thats it (or delete that folder and it eliminates the pop up)

but the items are all free, so you really cannot beat that deal. You do not have to get the whole package and can just pick and choose what you want.

I use other stuff for similar options with video, but as far as support goes they do get in touch and answer questions, no spyware and again it's free, give it a shot and let us know

I learned about this program earlier today and this evening decided to give it a try. After a couple of hours, however, I decided it's not software that I want to use. The first time I installed the program, it refused to complete the DVD creation phase, giving two error messages that I could not understand. I uninstalled the program, downloaded it again and this time it successfully completed the creation of the DVD folders. However, I forgot to put a DVD in the drive, so it stopped with a "No disk in drive" error. Fair enough. I put a disk in the drive, thinking it would recover from this situation but it did not. So I had to exit the program, then go to the DVD burner part of the software and start that phase again. Immediately I got an error message informing me that the file was too large for the disk. That came as quite a surprise to me since the program had told me earlier that the file was approximately 3.3 GB. Now it is saying that the file is 5.9 GB. I know there is overhead but not nearly three gigabytes worth! If I can't rely on the program to give me reliable info about the size of the file, it's not the type of software that I want to use. I've removed it from my computer.
