I am a voice instructor and run my mics into a Tascam audio interface which then goes into my Yamaha Stagepas 300 and into my computer for audio recording. I'm trying to use the mic input on my Canon Vixia HFM30 and get the sound from my sound system to go to my camcorder. I've done this successfully with my old non-digital camcorder but am not able to get it to work with my new camcorder. Is there something that I need to change on the camcorder?

try going into your cam menu to the mic settings and see what's up

What format does your Yamaha Stagepas 300 export? If line or mic XLR 600 ohm you should look at the Beachtek DXA-2T.
