Good day to all members, this is my first post (hope not my last). I hope this is the correct section please be gentle if not????

I have 3 programs I recorded from the tv and I am trying to join them together into 1 file using hjsplit, I have no problem using this program if I download from say RS. I have tried to give each file .001 as the instructions say but I cannot get it to recognise the files when I open the "Input File" button.
I coverted the files to VOB using CovertxtoDVD and gave each VOB file the .001 .002 ending as the instructions from the net (Googled ) say.
As any member had any experience with this program who can advise me please.

  6. Even if you manage to join several VOB files together with HjSplit you won't have a proper VOB file as a result. Some tools will ignore everything past the original first VOB file. But just as a test, I was able to join unrelated VOB files with HjSplit, simply by renaming them x.vob.001, x.vob.002...

Thanks jagabo, I see where I went wrong as well, I did not call my files X.vob.001 etc; I called them x.001,002 etc.
