  1. Hi everyone, I have a 4 part .mp4 video my friend created that I wanted to join in one. I was trying Wondershare Video converter and I see multiple options under MP4 format:
    Mp4(AVC)
    MP4 (Xvid)
    MP4 (MC)

What's the difference? I tried google'ing it but there's a lot of MP4 to Xvid and I'm really confused.

2nd question is I was think of seeing what encoding my friend used for his mp4, as I'm trying to keep it all the same, is it possible?

I want this video played locally on a computer, also be able to convert it to youtube quality.

    Thank you.

    Hi
If those 4 videos are all encoded the same you should be able to join them without re-encoding.
    Use a program called 'YAMB'.
    From here:- http://yamb.unite-video.com/

MP4Box is a program that we use with Linux for joining and muxing mp4 files.
So YAMB is the version for Windows.

If they arent same you can try use mediainfo to identify the properties from the mp4 and then use exact settings same when you convert. Then try join all mp4s with yamb or mp4boxgui.

And if you can't adjust all settings in wondershare crapware try xmedia recode or handbrake or avidemux.
