How to edit not standard sized movie for youtube?

Hello, i have movie recorded in 1680x988 resolution (recorded ingame in windowed mode). When i edit it and render it at this resolution, it looks great. However when i want to upload it on youtube, its quality gets completely destroyed. When i render it in 1280x720 or 1920*1080, it has black borders all around, and still looks pretty poorly when viewed on monitor with 1680x1050 res.

So my question is, whether is there any way to make it look well on youtube, or if there is any website which allows to upload and stream with original resolution?

What do you convert with? You should be able to convert it to 16:9(1920x1080 or 1280x720) with just some small black borders on right and left.

And try upload to vimeo and see if you get better quality.
