  1. I have converted a movie ( Jurassic park 3 ) from avi to mpeg with tmpgenc, the audio starts in sync but by the end of the movie it is a few seconds out. The original divx avi is fine, sound in sync throughout, but when converted to mpeg I get the same result every time. It is no good time shifting the audio because as I said, it starts in sync. I've tried ripping the sound first with audio dub, and I've tried it without ripping sound in advance. The result is the same. I'm new to all this and would appreciate any help given.

    Thanks in advance

  4. i would suggest searching for "sound sync progressive" ... it's one of the gotcha problems with conversions and fairly common .... basicly what has probly happened is that your sound is not the same legenth as your video ... i belive their was a guid out their for a program called aviinfo .... basicly you pobly need to adjust the size of your wav file ( cool edit is good for this ) ... sorry i dont have a url that points to a guide ... but aviinfo can be found http://www.chizzil.com/softdetail.cfm?ID=837

  5. Thanks for the reply, but I can't see how the audio can be a different length, it isn't in the dowloaded avi, fully in sync throughout.

thanks for the link, I'll read up on it.

  6. Try using different version of DVD2AVI. I have audio sync problems with all newer versions beyond the original 1.76., when using "FORCE FILM".
