Hi,
I've just been handed a Canon F200 Video Camera from a friend with 10 gig of .Mod files on the card.
I have converted them to AVI and MPG files using SDcopy and when I play them back in Win Media player
everything is fine with the video and Audio.
When i import them into vegas 8 , the audio track is missing. Any suggestions please.
To get around this I have imported the AVIs into procoder and converted to a DV file, and then imported the DV
files into vegas and everything seems fine. It's just a bit of a long process. ( Also not sure if this loses quality along the way )
If anybody can help me, or suggest another program to try, that'd be great.
Cheers
Scott

Why is an intelligent man's vote, worth the same as an idiot's vote in a democratic election system.

.Mod files are MPG files with a different extension. You can also try changing the extension to .mpg, but SDcopy may do a more complete job.

The audio should be AC3, not sure why Vegas won't open that. Do you have AC3 ACM Decompressor installed? It might help decoding the files.
