I used this guide to setup my media playback http://files.nyaatorrents.org/HOW_DID_I_PLAYED_BACK.txt, except instead of CoreAVC i used ffdshow tryouts and now when i play a file that has multiple audio or subtitle tracks in it the haali media splitter tray icon wont show up anymore, was working fine until i updated mpc home cinema and ffdshow

Anyone able to help me get it working again?

  2. On my XP HTPC, it's set to show in the tray, but doesn't unless it's actually in use, like when running BDRB.

At any rate it should be in your start menu under Programs -> Haali Media Splitter -> Media Splitter Settings -> Options -> Interface -> Show Tray Icon. Yes -> Apply -> Close.

Alternatively go to Start -> Run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Haali -> Matroska Splitter. Click on "ui.trayicon". Set the hexadecimal value to 1 for yes, 0 for no. Okay -> Close.

    I presume it's the same for Win7.

    Check MPC preferences.
MPC has several internal filters, including for MKV. If it's using that instead of Haali, then obviously Haali won't be active.
