Hi all,
I have a WD Media Player and I am trying to figure out how to attach pictures to avi files so that when you browse the movies it shows thumbnail pictures. At the moment I just get a blank folder icon with the movie name underneath. I'd really like to change the folders to the movie artwork.
Any ideas how to do this?
Thanks

jpg thumbnail with the same name as the movie. It's covered in the manual. Two ways to do, one is a thumb for the entire folder and the other is a same name jpg as the movie. Personally I gave up on thumbnails as it seemed to slow things down.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself. -
Dont you need a modded fimware for the WDTv something like B-rad's firmware and use thumbgen on your PC..
Try http://wdtvforum.com/main/ for all your needs.Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
The WDTV has always had issues with thumbnails. The basic procedure is as TBoneit described. But after changing a thumbnail you may need to delete the thumbnail cache so the unit rebuilds thumbnails. And it doesn't work right with network shares. I forget the details, I use plain text list mode.
