  1. I had this box "SIMA SCC" for some time and went throw three of them to make copies from DVD to VHS it does work but after time some thing goes wrong these white bar start from the bottom of the screen and go up. Just stay away from this box. http://www.simacorp.com/scc.html

The only good box this company make's is the

The box you described doesn't actually promise to counteract Macrovision. It merely states "Great to use with DVDs!" Its a simple image/video enhancer.

spiderman2k1, I have been using the Sima Video Color Corector for some time now and have never had a problem. Are you saying that yours worked just fine but for some reason one day it just stopped working... that is it stopped doing something it isn't even advertised to do?

Just got the Sima Copymaster... the box works OK (I'm pleased anyway...) Except for a very correctable "Rainbow" effect on the capture on the top/bottom (very easy to crop 12 pixels from each side), it works well...

It suceeded on one of the movies I had with the (seemingly) strongest Macrovision signal (Independence Day), no more flashing or crashing!

The best solution is to get a real magic hollywood + mpeg2 decoder card and run RCA from your computer to a vcr next to it. then download the macrovision remover "remote selector" at http://www.digital-digest.com and there ya go. It playes every mpeg file you can throw at it. It can play a 12000 bit mpeg1, why i dont know but none the less. it is a very nice card and has the best dvd playback on your computer. you can sometimes get them in a package deal with a dvd-rom for around 40 t 60 dollars at http://www.pricewatch.com.
