I just edited my first video with VideoPad Free Edition. When I tried to upload video to Facebook, it said it would take 19 hrs. to upload. Is this because I have slow dial-up, or is there a way to make the file smaller. Thanks.

  2. How big is the video 4mb-400mb? What file format is the video? Yes Dial-up is snail slow, Recompress use a gui like handbrake for mkv or mp4 if it's avi use avidemux.

The file is 21.7MB and it was MPEG4 but Facebook said change the file type so I changed it to AVI and that worked except for the 19 hour aspect.

  5. AVI is a container -- a box that holds audio and video compressed (or not) with any of a number of codecs. What codecs did you use in your AVI file? Try Xvid or Divx for the video, MP3 for the audio.
