    After you take your video from your video camera and edit them, can you save the video without compressing?
    If so, how do you it?

  2. It depends on the type of video , and the type of "editing"

    For something like DV-AVI and cuts only editing (trimming segments), most software can do this, even free ones like vdub

    If you're doing anything like color correction, global effects, this always requires re-rendering. Things like transitions always require re-rendering at minimum over the affected frames (sometimes more, depending on the video type and software used)
