    I got a dvd that was produced from a vhs tape. The quality is fair to poor. The video has some waviness to it, and
    the audio track is slightly out of sync. Is there software that can take out the waviness ? How about re-syncing the
    sound ?

    Re-syncing would be the easier of the two tasks....as long as the sync mismatch is constant throughout the entire DVD.
