before starting to use FfdShow recently, i had to install all this codecs :

Divx
Xvid (x86 + x64)
Ac3 Filter lite
Ac3 Acm
Ogg Codecs
Core Vorbis
Matroska Splitter
Quicktime Alternative lite
Real Alternative lite
Vs Flter (x86 + x64)
TotalMediaTheatre
+
Ds Filter Tweaker Win7 (all options ticked, all to ffdshow)

Now i install ffdshow (x86 + x64) after all these...
i know it's useless all this codec & filters on top of ffdshow but... i didn't encountered any problem, so.

I have questions about ffdshow like i don't know well how it features about filters. Are the filters (audio and video) others than "libavcodec" better or recommended (e.g: libmad ; liba52 ; libfaad2 ; OR ;Xvid ; libmpeg2 / i know ffmpeg-mt is for dxva in h264 ).

Also i don't understand what version is the good one because the site for "tryouts" is obsolete (7beta), but when reading the ' about ' in ffdshow settings (r3154 stable, if i remember ) it's also ' tryouts '... and second question is, what improvement or disagreement will appear if i install an SVN version (r3744) instead of the stable one (one year old).

A last question, is there a NLE editor (vegas style) able to manage vc-1 (BD-ripp in one big .m2ts for all a movie) ?
