Okay, I have a Samsung HT-Z310 Home Theater System. It doesn't always read discs, as it sometimes gives "Disc Error" after trying to load after several minutes. I cleaned the laser and found that the drive doesn't always spin the disc after it's put in. Aside from getting this unit serviced, is there anything else I can do? Anyone know about how much would it cost to service?

Service would be your only option. Prices vary from shop to shop. Check with your local shops, most will apply the inspection fee to any repairs that may be needed. Personally, it's cheaper to simply get a replacement player.

I agree. Yesterday, I ordered a Blu Ray player on Amazon. I will try my best to stay away from Samsung and Panasonic. They used to be very reliable.
