  1. Hello,

This is my first post here on this forum, and the reason for it is i have just purchased BMIP and have followed some guides on youtube. However, i cannot seem to get anything working. I followed this guide - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlwgLLM7rAI&feature=related but i don't know how relevant it is to me because on the video he is setting it up so he plays on a TV and captures on his PC. My monitor is an ASUS VH242 and i usually switch between VGA(PC) and HDMI(PS3). Obviously i cannot use HDMI because the PS3 sends HDCP signals and the BMIP does not recieve them. So i bought some component cables to help.

Now on the video, the guy shows that he can get it to work by having the PS3 connected via the component cables to the BMIP as the input, and then has an HDMI cable from the BMIP to his tv as an output. I have done this but to my monitor. Later on (or in part 2 of his video) i realise that when i am on the control panel of BMIP i do not have the output and input lists that he has, mine read like this:

""When you go to the black magic control panel, my set output only has "HDMI & Component" and "HDMI & Composite (Y Out) & S-video". As for set input, it only reads the following:
    -HDMI Video & HDMI Audio
-HDMI Video & Analog RCA Audio
-Component Video & Analog RCA Audio
-Composite Video (Y In) & Analog RCA Audio
    -S-Video & Analog RCA Audio""

Here are some pictures of what i have to deal with.

Here is the black magic in my pc and what is connected to it is the output (hdmi) and the breaker cable

Here is the breaker cable connected to a component cable which goes to the ps3

Finally here is the HDMI going into my monitor, notice i have no way of using the other cables on the breaker to connect to the monitor has it has no inputs for them.

I would really appreciate the help on this, i know it may be a hassle to help but please try. Thanks so much!

  2. Just to update, i bought myself a tv so no monitor problems now. All the cables are component, coming from my ps3 and going to the tv, but i do not get the option to select them in the BM control panel. I should be getting a Y, R-Y, B-Y option, but nothings there. I have the latest drivers installed too. Please help me.
