DVD disc problem on Bose 3.2.1

When I try to play some (but not all) DVD discs I've produced from files downloaded from the Internet on my Bose 3.2.1, I get the error message "DVD/CD format unsupported".
How do I establish what format(s) are supported by my player (the instruction manual is no help), and then suitable reauthoring/encoding software that will enable me to produce discs to that format?

Need a lot more info. What programs are you using? What's your goal - DVD format video? What are you using to burn? What brand of discs are you using? Go into a lot more details of exactly what you are doing if you want help.

I've downloaded a Video_TS folder and burnt the individual files in that folder on to an Infiniti DVD blank using the Nero 10 data burning facility.

Need a lot more info. What programs are you using? What's your goal - DVD format video? What are you using to burn? What brand of discs are you using? Go into a lot more details of exactly what you are doing if you want help.

Junk and junk.
Burn the VIDEO_TS folder with ImgBurn.....then buy better discs next time....Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
