    Hello,
    Ok I'm importing DVD footage to MPEG for editing on FCP to then make Quicktime files for IDVD. Most of my clients will be watching my DVD on computers and laptops.
    What would be the best settings for the 1. saving the DVD footage through MPEG for prep for FCP. so that when I finally put my clps in IDVD I wont have the INTERLACING lines on my footage.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    But software dvd players will do that while you play dvds on your computer.

    Generally, you shouldn't deinterlace unless absolutely necessary. Doing so will unnecessarily remove as much has half the spacial and temporal resolution. DVD players (software and hardware) and TVs know how to deal with interlaced video. Just be sure you flag it properly.
