I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it through search. I use to have a plugin through FireFox that I could download a youtube video through Firefox. That plugin doesn't work anymore and I was wondering if there was a different plugin or a different free program that could be used.
Thanks,
rob

Are you using latest video downloadhelper?
Some other tools https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-streaming-recording
And I'm moving you to our video streaming section as this is not analog hardware capturing. -
Some videos can't be downloaded from Youtube with Firefox+DownloadHelper. For those you need StreamTransport.

They were commercial releases streamed with encrypted RTMP. This show used to be hard to download:

But Firefox+DownloadHelper now work with it. I don't know if that's because DownloadHelper got better or if Youtube made it easier. -
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, that video is "blocked in my country on copyright grounds", so I can't try out DownloadHelper with it.
