I'm making SVCDs using the following steps:
DC10+: Capture NTSC 640x480, 4000kpbs, both fields
Virtualdub: resize (precise bicubic 0.75) to 480x360 LTRBOX 480x480
Frameserve to CCE 2.50
My question is this... my resulting video gets slightly chopping during fast camera pans. I suspect that Virtualdub's resize is not working correctly with both fields... do I need to deinterlace the video before the resize? Can I do the following:
deinterlace (unfold fields side-by-side)
resize
deinterlace (fold side-by-side fields together)
Will this correctly yield resized interlaced video?
Also, am I handling the aspect correctly? My resulting video looks a bit squashed vertically on my TV.
TIA.
