Hey all you Video/Audiophiles. Ive spent hours searching and cant find a solution to my specific problem but I hope you guys can help me out.

My buddy who is trying to premote his band recorded some videos of him playing guitar to his music and wants me to add the actual music track from the CD over the video and sync it with his playing. The problem is that the video footage is from a webcam and its 15fps. When attempting to lay the audio track over the video, it slowly loses sync with the video. So by the end of the song, the video is ahead and off sync by 1-2 seconds.

So in a nut shell im asking how I can Strech/Compress the video footage/timeline a tad to the audio track so it will all match up.

Links, Sources, Advice, Ill take anything. Thanks alot guys

I think I might have fixed the issue by using a velocity envelope in the video track but it requires tedious setting and it also wont go any finer the 1 whole number, as i cant turn it down by .2 or what have you. ill still take other suggestions and how to do this more precisely.

I think you might be better off stretching the audio to match the video. Audacity can do this. That small amount of change won't effect the pitch too much.

  4. I would agree with Khaver, however I would recommend that the video be re-shot with a decent camera and standard frame rates.
