    If you are talking about DLNA video streaming then you have quite a few choices. If yu have a Windows 7 PC then the version of Windows Media Player that ships with it does a pretty good job. TVersity is another option, and PS3 Media Server, despite the name, now handles quite a few different clients.

    i wanna see if its the program or my router thats dropping out vids while im viewing and seeing the same file in one folder and not the other???

    The router most likely won't cause you issues reading files. That will be a server problem.

    It is also worth setting static IP addresses in the router for the server and the client devices, and creating a static route between them - with QoS (Quality of Service) if your router supports it. This will minimise the impact of other traffic on the router interrupting your viewing.

    I assume you are connected wirelessly. If you are on ethernet you should not be having these types of problems.

    how do i get the IP of the devices ive never done this before. Or know what settings to do. Im above newbie

    I put tversity and now i can see those files that i could before thanks!!
